This wireless adapter is made by [[http://www.cacetech.com|Cacetech]] works on Windows but is a bit special. That's not a wireless adapter like every USB stick you can buy, you can capture 802.11 packets as easily as you're capturing data with [[http://www.wireshark.org|Wireshark]]. And you can capture on channel 1 to 14 included. Just plug it in, start the control panel to change some settings and then start capturing data with your favorite ethernet capture program aircrack-ng, wireshark, kismet, ...

An SDK is given to create your own program that can work with this adapter. A wireless IDS for windows is now easily doable.
